Sources and attribution

The separate vocabulary list collects current words, meanings, and translation examples in one alphabetical list. The source-language and philosophical bibliography is in The Yuddish Language; the complete grammar and short examples are in that document as well. The Litany of Tarski remains its opening epigraph.

The full essay in section 1 is adapted from Eliezer Yudkowsky's “Feeling Rational”, in Rationality: From AI to Zombies (2015), published by MIRI, with the HTML edition by Said Achmiz. Its English original, Latin Yuddish, Hebrew-script Yuddish, and readable gloss remain aligned in 34 passages. All assigned numerical credences and invented grammar are editorial additions. The short quotation attributed to P. C. Hodgell retains that attribution.

The edition's license notice specifies Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial ShareAlike 3.0 Unported. The original compilation material and the Feeling Rational adaptation are offered under that license. Section 2, Meditations on Moloch, has its separate CC BY 4.0 notice; third-party excerpts retain their own rights. The project vocabulary has moved to its own document; its source and license acknowledgements are collected in the language reference. This translation collection does not reproduce the separately licensed glossary on the Sequences website. Linked source-language teaching materials retain their own rights and attribution.

This document is the canonical home for the longer translations and their translator’s notes. The standalone aligned essay and Hebrew-only essay are alternate reading copies of the same translation. When revising a translated work, keep those reading copies synchronized with its entry here.
